It's meant to make samosas, but fans are getting creative with ALDI's newest budget kitchen appliance.
We love a good ALDI kitchen appliance.
Whether it’s a more expensive Thermomix dupe, or a super affordable waffle maker, the German discount grocery store knows the appliances its customers will love best.
The $40 samosa maker is a bit of an unexpected one.
After all, ALDI has pretty good samosas in the freezer section so why would we want to buy a specific samosa maker?
Because sure you can make samosas, but you can also choose sweet or savoury ingredients you like and use the appliance to seal them in golden pastry .

Samosas are what the machine is for, and it does a great job of cooking up those golden triangles.
According to one dad on Facebook, you just need to cook up a mixture of potatoes, peas, onions, chilli and sandwich the filling between sheets of puff pastry for kid-friendly snacks.
Pop the lot into the samosa maker and voila! Flaky, tasty samosas.
But it’s not just about samosas.
You can sandwich anything between two sheets of puff pastry. Make apple and cinnamon pies, curry puffs stuffed with chicken curry, or summer hand pies filled with spiced stone fruit.
For a quick treat, sandwich a mixture of peanut butter and nutella between two pieces of bread and toast them, jaffle style. Once golden, press some hundreds and thousands into the bread for colour, crunch and more sweetness.
